Hi 💛

I am a a yoga lifestyle coach & educator who creates tailored lifestyles for individuals taking into account all aspects of life -physical, emotional, social, and spiritual.

My yoga journey started with my grandma teaching me pranayama in Chandigarh, India as a little girl. Throughout life, while struggling through trauma and a medical misdiagnosis, I felt a deep sense of despair that my mind would always control my life. I channeled my granny’s wisdom and started developing a consistent yoga & Sadhana practice that included Asana, meditation, and pranayama. This practice has completely transformed my mental, physical, and spiritual health through massive changes, pains, ups, and downs. Motivated by teaching others how to work with the voice in their mind, I continued developing my practice, worked at yoga studios, and completed my teacher training in San Francisco. I went on to specialize in trauma-informed yoga & using pranayama as a tool for peace.

My Influences & Work

Teaching from the Roots of Yoga

I was born in Dubai, grew up visiting India, and moved to the USA when I was 8 - I definitely grew up confused. My grandma & culture drives my determination to teach yoga from its roots. I pull from techniques that were transformative to me and are rarely taught in yoga studios.

Pairing Modern Science with Yogi’s Wisdom

I grew up with a love of health sciences, engineering, and psychology. I graduated college with a degree in material sciences & engineering, paired with a focus on public health. After college, I spent 2 years working as a materials engineer at NASA. My science background has driven my approach to my work in yoga - pairing modern science with yogi’s wisdom.

Bringing in More Yoga Practices to Yoga Studios

I have been teaching at yoga studios for the past 5 years now. At first, the only thing I was teaching was vinyasa, through much convincing, I now teach pranayama workshops, pranayama teacher trainings, and a public pranayama class. One of my goals with studio work is to push the boundaries of modern-day “studio yoga” to transform it from a practice that uses solely “Asana” (poses we do at yoga studios), into one that pulls from Patanjali's Eight limbs of yoga.

A Holistic Approach

I give clients the tools they need to get curious about their behaviors, and patterns and use yoga to rebalance. This helps them energize the mind, body & soul.

I truly believe that yoga requires customization, as yoga has been passed down from teacher to student for thousands of years. Each individual has a unique set of challenges to conquer in order to find stillness. I approach clients by looking at the factors that prevent them from finding balance, whether physical, emotional, social or spiritual. Taking into account the whole being, I align clients with customized lifestyle practices that pull from the Eight Limbs of Yoga, Yoga & Vedic Philosophy, Ayurveda and modern science.

Pulling from techniques used in my practice, my teaching style includes Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, and Yoga Philosophy.
